My, Oh my! I'm so happy I want to jump and shout to death! One of my dreams just came true... Guess what?


I'm already one of the editorial staff in our school!
Joi and I took the super difficult exam for the application of our school paper about 2 months ago and both of us got in! It was a bit unbelievable, though. Hahaha! Some of my classmates also took the exam, but unfortunately they didn't get in.

September 9, 2009 at exactly 12:40pm, the Moderator declared that Joi and I are already one of the gazette members! I just can't explain my feelings at that time.

Earlier today (September 24, 2009), all the gazette members, now including Joi and I had a seminar about Journalism in Imageworld Davao. The speaker also toured us inside the printing press and it was really fun. I saw millions of yearbooks from different universities here in Mindanao. And I was thrilled about the teachings of our brilliant speaker in the person of Sir Celso.

The Power of Believing

There is a power when you believe. It’s simply not a kind of magic or a mystical power, but it’s uniquely a mind set. Think of success and never think of failure. It’s true that you’ll only achieve victory by believing in it the most. An article proved it to millions of people who have read it, and I am one of them.

It was all about the story of a catholic priest who was so devoted to God. The priest was so godly that when his life came to an end, people believed that his bones have healing powers. People would patiently wait outside the church for how many hours waiting for their turn to touch the priest’s bones because they believed that by touching them, they will be cured for whatever illnesses they have and to witness a miracle.

Believe it or not, his bones were really a miracle for those people who have touched it. Every ailment is being washed away from those people who believed that they will be cured by those so-called miracle bones.

One day, a priest came in and discovered that the miracle bones weren’t there anymore. Someone had stolen the miracle bones! The priest and some of his trusted men tried their best to find the bones but didn’t succeed. The priest must think of an alternative to the problem as soon as possible, knowing that if the news will spread to the people, it will only create a great riot and confusion. He expected that within a week, the miracle bones will be given back to them and continue to heal more and more people. And so what he decided is that for the meantime, they should find someone else’s bones to as a substitute for the miracle bones. The only problem is that the bones they had were the bones of a thief. But, who would know the difference? Yes, hundreds of people wouldn’t be healed for a few days while the police are still locating the so-called miracle bones; but that would be the best choice than causing a wild riot.

The priest carefully looked at the people who touched the thief’s bones believing that those were the miracle bones. And guess what; the priest was so amazed that the people were still being healed by touching the substitute of the miracle bones! The people who touched the thief’s bones were being healed. How could this be happening?

An answer suddenly popped out from my mind- It’s because it didn’t matter whose bones were there to heal those sick people because there was there no magic or mystical power in those dead priest’s bones.

The power is in believing.

Always keep in mind, that whatever you ask for, and believe, shall be given unto you. Those people who were healed believed that they will be healed by those bones, and so they were healed.

Develop your belief system and witness more miracles happen in your life. Just always remember that whatever you ask for in prayers, and believe, shall be given unto you.

Express Yourself!

Don't let anything or anybody create a barrier between you and your feelings. If you wanna write, then WRITE ! If you wanna cry, CRY ! Nobody has the right to stop you from expressing your feelings. Show your true feelings to other people by writing a poem or an essay. No matter how short or long it may be, as long as your point is visible on the words you've picked ♥
